Upcoming Surrey Stand Up Comedy Shows

As a cartoonist and award winning screenwriter, Jon has a knack for both short concise and longer storytelling style jokes. Jon worked as an environmental engineer, and was a contestant on Canada’s Smartest Person, and is known for his thought provoking humor about society, love and relationships. (CBC, Youtube). He also tends to tell a few very dark jokes.

Stand-up Comedian/Writer Patrick Maliha has had comedy specials on CTV, CBC and The Comedy Network. He’s been voted Vancouver’s Favourite Stand-Up Comedian in the Georgia Straight and the West Ender several years in a row, holds the world record for most impressions under a minute and is a writer for the top-rated Netflix show, “Mystery Science Theatre 3000”. Currently, Patrick lives in Vancouver in a lovely neighbourhood.

Brian Patafie spent 44 years working in both the professional hockey and the junior hockey industry. After retiring in 2021 Brian followed his first love and became a standup comedian and since has performed in clubs and theatres all over North America and in October of 2022 he was featured on an eight city, twelve show tour of the United Kingdom.  On Thursday April 13th Brian along with Milton NG and Fran Tiernan take to the Yuk Yuks stage in Surrey for Funny As Puck, ninety minutes of continuous laughter about life in general with a bit of hockey mixed in from start to finish.

Former unimpressive Canadian collegiate athlete turned comedian, Ryan Williams is one of western Canada’s most exciting comics. His energetic performances, coupled with sharp material, make him a performer not to be missed. Ryan has appeared on CBC's The Debaters, at JFL42, JFL Northwest, was a finalist in SiriusXM's Canada's Top Comic and was featured on JFL Northwest's 'Best of the West' compilation album.  

With an effortlessly charming and commanding stage presence, and subject matter that oscillates from insightful to absurd at any time, he’s making a name for himself everywhere he goes, and is, quite simply, a comedian you should see.

Since breaking onto the Canadian Comedy scene, Jane Stanton has become one of the country’s favourite headliners. With multiple festival appearances across North America, Jane has been featured at the prestigious Montreal Just for Laughs, JFL Northwest, Global Comedy Festival, Bumpershoot Seattle, Seattle’s International Comedy Competition, Halifax Comedy Festival and Winnipeg Comedy Festival. Between touring her headline act and appearances on such hit shows like CBC’s The Debaters, Jane has appeared alongside the likes of Tom Green, Tig Notaro, Arie Spears, Godfrey, Bobby Lee, Natasha Leggero and SNL’s Michael Che.
